Chickasabogue Park

Chickasabogue Park is one of the Gulf Coast's premier outdoor recreation destinations and Mobile County's largest park. Located just minutes north of downtown Mobile, the 1,100-acre park combines natural beauty, waterfront access, hiking, biking, camping, and family-friendly recreation in a scenic setting along Chickasabogue Creek. The creek provides access to Mobile Bay and the Mobile-Tensaw Delta, making the park a favorite destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

Following a major multi-year renovation completed in 2025, Chickasabogue Park features an all-new day-use area with expanded parking, a modern playground, splash pad, multi-use courts for basketball, tennis, and pickleball, upgraded hiking and biking trails, renovated disc golf courses, new restroom facilities, and improved roads and utilities throughout the park. The park also offers approximately 17 miles of trails, RV and tent camping, picnic areas, sports fields, a beach, and access to the water.

Today, Chickasabogue Park serves as both a wildlife refuge and a recreation destination, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the natural beauty of coastal Alabama while enjoying some of the region's best outdoor amenities. Additional improvements, including beach enhancements, a new boat ramp, and future event facilities, are planned as part of Mobile County's ongoing investment in public parks and waterfront access.
